In this course, the student will become familiar with all aspects of Project Management from Project Needs Assessment to using planning tools to closing out a project.
By the conclusion of this 1-day workshop, students will be able to:
- Perform a project needs assessment and write goals, requirements and deliverables
- Create key project documents including Project Charter, Statement of Work and Project Requirements Document
- Understand and use the Work Breakdown Structure
- Build a project schedule by estimating time, costs and resources
- Create project planning documents
- Use planning tools, including the Gantt Chart, Network Diagram, and RACI chart
- Create and use a communication Plan, RACI Chart, and Risk management Plan
- Monitor and maintain the project
- Perform basic management tasks, includeing leading status meetings and ensuring all documents are complete at the end of the project
- Close out a project
